Samantha Riches
Samantha Riches, a former singer/dancer turned TV Presenter & Event host, hails from sunny Perth & for the last 14 years has endured the colder climate of Australia’s premier sporting event city, Melbourne in pursuit of living her dream career. Samantha grew up in a small town called Muchea, WA & spent almost every spare moment of her childhood within the walls of Pickett Park Hall learning to dance & fall in love with performing under the guidance of Miss Tanya Kerr.
Samantha was the very first “Comp” student at Bullsbrook Dance Academy where she took to the Bayswater stage with a beaming smile to the tune of “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls. The competitive nature & desire to be the best in her section, genre & school, has transferred to her life where she went on to perform on the world stage.
As a singer Samantha performed backing vocals for a number of bands including a Robbie Williams tribute act. She frequented the corporate circuit & was lead Female Vocalist in Cover Band “Louie & the party boys for a number of years.
Her one true love of dancing took Samantha all around the Globe. From London to Dubai & back again. Some of her most memorable events included 10 years cheerleading at the Dubai Rugby 7s, The AFL Footy show, Cricket World Cup, Big Bash League & Melbourne Storm.
Through singing, dancing & performing, Samantha has cultivated a wealth of knowledge & an abundance pf experience in the wide world of Sport & Entertainment. Over the years working across all types of live events, from all codes of football to children’s holiday events to corporate functions, Samantha has become well accustomed to a crowd & a microphone. She now has a trigging career as a TV Presenter & event host.
When not standing in front of a camera entertaining the masses, Samantha is an inspiration to the multitude of children she spends her week nights teaching to be ninjas in her Acrobatics & dance classes. She has been teaching since she was 16 back with Miss Tanya & still chucks a backflip or two to show her students she’s still got it at her age!
Be it dancing, singing or presenting, she is always performing & that seed was planted at the age of 6, at Bullsbrook Dance Academy & is still watered by Miss Tanya, to this day.
